Hi All,
Can anyone help. My wife is away so i've had time to do a few jobs on the pc. I ran a defrag last night, and did a few other things. I've had trouble with my RAF career ranks being in Cryllic, and have read the forums, and downloaded the fix to my hd. I've tried a few ways to install this, winrar, copy and paste. But the careers are still in Cryllic. I suppose my question is? Having installed the UI 1.1, and the career fix, do i also have to install the other mods ie, sound mod as well. I may be completely wrong but i read the other mods were in 1.1. I also had the US ranks in cryllic, but i installed the fix for that, and they are ok.
Can anyone please give me some advice. Please bear in mind i'm basically thick, i don't want to mess up anything.

hope this will help :

well ... since only russian game version is moddable with applying basic mod platform ( either mod activator or soundmod or AAA UI) our game becomes russian version . Basically that means that game is using russian files ... those with _ru sufix in name .

For missions : mission_ru.properties ... for DGen campaigns : campaignsXX_ru.dat and MessageRu.dat ....

Fix is rather easy but time consuming :

0 BACK UP your DGen folder

1 locate all relevant files (english or other desired language) and copy them to temp location

for english version :
all of campaignsXX.dat ( those without sufix) files ... and MessageEN.dat

2 rename them as russian version of same files ( so you have russian files with language of choice)

for english version :
campaignsXX.dat >>>campaignsXX_ru.dat and MessageEn.dat >>> MessageRu.dat

3 copy those renamed files back to DGen folder and allow overwrite

4 for static campaigns : do the same with mission.properties >>> mission_ru.properties


now you can fix all your campaigns all by yourself

... of course that needs to be done with all future Enjoir's patches or installation of new Dgen campaigns ( do it before placing files in DGen folder )
