I keep revisiting this question so may be someone can help me.
Despite having the same sample/ bit rates, i can't get my .wav files to work in place of the game's .wav files.
I do have a way of converting them, but i just need to know what codec the game will recognize.
thanks
Bill
I have the Switch program that lets a guy change a lot of the parameters of the wav file. What I do is take the wav file out of the game that I want to replace and check it's properties against the one I'm going to replace it with, then I try and match the properties as close as I can with Switch. It's a trial and error job sometimes but Ive had pretty good luck so far.Oh by the way all my in game wav files seem to have the MPEG layer-3 Encoder option.

Can you send me one of your new wavs , just post a link in this thread and ill take a look.....
i figured out a way to do it. The program i use to edit/make the sounds exports to a wav file, then i convert it to an identical wav, and it works in the game.
I'm now working with the prs files to get the sounds to line up better. that is much more trial and error/
thanks for the help
Bill
What I would think would work well is if the sound Guru's would post a Idiot Guide / Tutorial on how to make your own .wav files for the game, and sort out and make a correct presets file as well.
