#1 3d Max #2 UI after you figure out how hard the learning curve is and the time it takes to make one mod with 3d Max.

Well first, you need your game patched to 4.08m, then...

If want only MODS, without any new sounds, use the Mod Activator:
(The link is inoperative)

Or if you want MODS and also want new sounds, then choose one of the ENG_Sound_Mods:

Thing is UI was giving me lots of trouble on my dads lap top. Maybe now since I have a gaming computer of my own UI will work better. One question. When I went to delete IL-2 on my dads lap top I got a message that said If you delete IL-2 1946 it could make other programs not work.??? Could I still delete IL-2? UI 1.1 was installed.

Thanks,

First,

When you go to "Delete" the game from your dad's Laptop, don't just delete the folder. Use the uninstall!!! It's there for a reason. If you just go deleting folders and do a hail Mary, you run the very distinct risk of fragging your dad's Laptop (registry errors). If you don't know how to uninstall it, ask for help.

Well I uninstalled the game its self but there is still some stuff left to get rid of. When I try to get rid of those folders that are left over that's when it gives me that message.

The only program dependent on them files would be il2 itself, and as you've uninstalled it'll be fine.
