[Video] IL2 1946 Trailer HD
#31

Excellent videoshort...lots of effective techniques and Effects. Quality cinematography and editing. Very 'pretty'. In your earlier videos you have shown similar and different techniques which worked well.

My comment though is that "Trailers" are normally used in advance of a Movie (Hollywood type) release in theaters or release of an internet movie, doh, on the internet. They also,of course, are used by Software companies to whet the appetite of the 'public'/community for a forthcoming Product/Game. I don't quite understand the 'purpose' of a Trailer for a product released years ago. Of course, there is no mandatory Need for a video to have a purpose.

I would recommend that you consider making a full "Movie"...say one of 12-15 minutes or so in duration...with a "Story" of some sort, and perhaps some emotional impact or immersion. Skilled cinematogrpahy, editing, SFX, etc have been in increasingly short supply these past 12 months or so in the IL2 community. It would be wonderfdul to see a Quality IL2 "Movie" from someone with your obvious talent....and if it showed off some of the wonderful AAA MODs, all the better.

Again, Good job with this latest Trailer.

do you want radio chat in movie (it will be only german with english subtitles) or no radio chat?

If it's IL-2's default radio chat, I'd say no radio chat, I've heard enough of that in the last 4 years

I agree...LIVE radio chatter, acting, is always a great PLUS/POSITIVE in IL2 movies....the missing element in IL2 Movies is the HUMAN element. Well acted/recorded/written radio communications are essential to overcome that deficiency. In my case, I speak fair German, but German with subtitles would be perfect for everyone.

Here's one of my favorite short movies...with radio chatter and subtitles. Without those, there would be NO movie!

Hope this will give you some insperation , I made this some time ago, and its my only attempt so far at radio chatter , we did a fair amount of research into period termanolagy to try and give it an authentic feel , also we made the live vocal recordings speaking through cupped hands to give the impression of speaking into Oxygen masks , to this day I still cringe at hearing my own voise played back to me.

Good luck with the movie mate , look forward to it.
