Not that i want to die BUT when you are shot down you are shot down ! Not me i bounce off the grownd back in the air. I don't know what happend. Is this online or off? that happened to me once and I was told it was lag. It lasted about a week or two then went away for some reason. I dont remember changing anything on my game during the time.

Sounds like the difficulty settings have been changed somehow and you are now on easy settings.
check your settings just before mission start and set to realistic.

To be a little more specific, just make sure that vulnerability and realistic landings are both turned on. That's the only thing that I know of that will cause that problem.

How hard are you hitting the ground?

Some aircraft (like the Il-2) can touch the ground with their tail while flying low and slow without being destroyed.

Consider yourself a very lucky pilot then. There could be some hidden conflicts with some mods you have trying to work together, but cant. Try other planes and other maps as well. If other planes and maps "kill you", then we'll need to narrow it down to which map it was or which plane. Also, try landing or crashing into the water and see what happens. It could be that one of your mods, or yourself, changed something in your config files by accident.

I've had this happen to me when I accidently turned off realistic landings in the difficulty settings.
It was a little confusing untill I found out what had happened.
