Neuro's mod switcher with 4.09m
#1

Hi guys,

before committing myself to 4.09m I wanted to make sure that I will be able to keep my mods (thx AAA: I prefer a blazing A3 to a rata on skis  )

I found this mod switcher (thx Neuro!). Here is the address ( i hope that it is allowed to post something outside of AAA):
http://fusionpack.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45

Anybody has any experience with this mod switcher? Do those mods still run as before? Can we go online with it?

Cheers,

Eckhart

I tried it, followed it word for word and my game crashed at 60% loading.

I am personally going to wait for a self installing version.

Fabian Fred has mentioned the SAS mod enabler in a number of threads. I tried it and it works fine (including over UI 1.1.1)

Hi duno about neuro's thing but the following way is pretty much the simplest way to get mods working on 409.

If you want to run the new full 4.09m with mods I suggest that first you install a new copy of your game in a seperate location from where your current modded game is. Then patch it up to the new 4.09m. Then you will need to go here: http://specialaircraftservice.com/sas/i ... 008.0.html and download the mod activator for the new 409 patch for clean installs. Then pretty much all mods should work on 409 as they would normally in 408. Some mods that edit core files may not work such as some of the mods by Fireball etc... just have to see what works.
