It was one of three B.534 used by the Germans for deck landing trials in conjunction with the development of the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The aircraft were fitted with arrester hooks for arrested landing trials on land. The Bk534's weren't stressed for such landings and the tail hooks sometimes tore from the the fuselage. When it became obvious that the Graf Zeppelin would not enter service, the trials were cancelled.
