well as the title says, the game freezes when you get the first load screen(before you can select anything) at 95%
i just can't figure out what is wrong with it, so i ask for help :???: :lol: :oops:

It on top of, what mod pack did you have installed, was it the UI? Or something else?

I installed it over UI 1.1 what was working great, but now i installed 4.09M it doesn't do anything anymore

Apparently it's possible to apply the 4.09 patch over the U.I., and still get a "working" game, except minus any new 4.09 content. (one of my squadmates did it). Nonetheless, it's a mistake, and the fix is to follow VonWaffen's link.

I have seen some talk about this 95% crash being caused by some new files:

mg_snd.dll
mg_snd_sse.dll

and that replacing those with old ones from unpatched game (backup) cures it.

VonWaffen, i did as they say me to do at SAS, but i still can't play with the aircraft in 4.09 like the SM.79 :-?

Then you didn't do everything they say...
Did you edit your air.ini to add the 4.09 planes?
Did you install the SAS buttons?

SAS Forum is pooched...so you are stuck with whatever you have until they get it fixed.

To el redentor .....4.09M not working yet with 4.09b1 aaa pack......... to get ui 1,.2 you need to make another fresh intalation of 4.08 them upgrade to 1.1 then 1.2
4.09m just be release some weeks ago and not working with UI for now

well, i did everything they say at SAS, but i just can't get those new planes in :-?
But o, well, i installed U.I. 1.2 now, so i'm fine for the moment [rant]

Did you add the 4.09 aircraft to your air.ini file?

as i said, i did everything they say me to do at SAS, but still no success :oops:
and i onlly want the SM 79 to work actually, becouse a relative of mine flew one

Well, here is the way I went about it:

1. Stock 4.08m game, patched with Official 4.09m patch.
2. Copied and pasted the MODS and Files folders from my U.I. 1.2 install.
3. Copied il2fb.exe and wrapper.dll from my U.I. install. (took from 6DOF ON folder)
4. Copied files.SFS from the SAS site (Russian version from their Modact download)
5. Edited air.ini, planes_ru.properties, and weapons_ru.properties according to SAS readme, adding the 4.09 planes onto the end of each
6. Drop the latest SAS buttons from the Modact download into ...MODS\STD\gui\game\ (I had to create this path)

Works like a charm! All U.I. and 4.09 content is there. There are other ways to arrive at the same result, but the point is, it does work. If it isn't working for you, then you've made a mistake somewhere.

When you added the lines to your air.ini for the 4.09 planes, what exactly, did you put? Can you cut and paste those lines here?
