Hi there chaps. Im sorry but my ability to install mods and such is still at nill.

I downloaded the Hyperlobby. At first i had some problems because it didnt seem to find the installation file. I found out that you needed to click on the Forgotten Battles, not IL-2 Sturmovik.
Well i thought that was good, it seemed to run, i created my callsign, password.
Then it went wrong.

I have two versions of the game on my computer. One, un-modded and original, the Other (on STEAM) is 4.09 or all that rot.
So from what i gathered, you need to use the 4.08. So i search that file, it all comes up. I click on it "il 2 sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe"
It then appeared to work, i connect to the lobby and started to scroll through the servers, in apparent glee that perhaps i had done it right this time. Big Mistake.
I try to join a server but it says it cannot locate the installation folder and that i cant play the game. Great.
I've been trying everything, tried it on the different versions and all reach the same conclusion. I wonder if there is a vital something i missed or went wrong.

Oh and when i started up hyper lobby, a warning box flashed twice saying "Unexcpected error, quitting" but it does not quit and Hyperlobby appears to run fine.

What should i do?. Re-install the HyperLobby, perhaps as administrator?. Delete some of my IL-2 Copies and perhaps just start fresh over.

I am tempted to sod the lot and just delete everything related to IL-2. Then, since it is Steam, re-install the game files and do it all again.

If you very helpful people could give me any suggestions it would be much appreciated .

sometimes Hyperlobby can't find the game path, so sometimes you have to define it again, to do this, right click the connect button and select your IL-2 install folder.

As for when hyperlobby starts up, ignore that, it doesn't effect hyperlobby at all but if you are annoyed with it, run it as administrator or turn off UAC (User Account Control)

Don't know how to fix, but if you cannot get Xfire. I use it and it teh leet

Thanks guys. I have done the run as Admin, and it has worked thank goodness .

Now i have another slight problem. Most servers are 4.08. I connected Hyperlobby with my 4.09 version. Is there any way to change this connection on Hyperlobby? Or do i have to get a patch?.

To change the path in Hyperlobby to a different game, when you are DISCONNECTED from Hyperlobby, right-click the Connect button, and a window will pop up where you can input another game path, or search for one. Then save and Connect.
