In theory, yes, however if you have room and are comfortable editing ini files etc you can rename your Files and Mods folders to -Files and -Mods then install the UI's and once they're installed and running correctly start moving any mods you have from the -Mods folder that aren't included in the UI's over to the Mods folder...ensure that you back up things first and copy and relevant info over to ini files etc as well.

Be aware too, if you fly online with the additional mods, you may not be CRT2 compliant to any UI based servers.

Cheers

No, don't delete the whole folders. Ideally, you want a clean U.I. 1.1, containing only the Mods that came with it, but it depends on what the mods are that you have added. If they involve editing .ini files, then you will likely have to redo that editing afterwards. Also some of the new mods may conflict with, or duplicate mods you have. If you can uninstall the additional mods that weren't in the vanilla 1.1, that would be a good idea.

Not sure what you mean...if you deleted the entire MODS folder and Files folder from a U.I. 1.1 install, then you would have to reinstall U.I. 1.1 first, then add 1.2. Is that what you did?
