If you played once Ace combat on 360...it's the same. good for hight and middle altitude, correct for low altitude.

As I already told it to dup...we have to make a compromise if we want to have more realistic landscapes.

By the way, i starded the work for the new version of Pearl Habor/hawaii map to see what's possible to do with this new FANTASTIC map :wink: :wink:

Amazing Redko!!! looking forward to it, I hardly have time lately for IL2 but definitely I'll try to book some to test your map! Also I'd like to see your versions of New Guinea and other maps!!

Can you make a screenshot from 200 meter high ?

Perhaps you would be willing to have a go at the new Mig-Alley map of korea... This has no cities or towns and perhaps tou could produce some nice village textures from Google earth for it...especially since it is mainly designed as a backdrop to the jet fighter air combat rather than much ground attack.

It is.

These texture aren't made to be seen at that low atltitude .....Its the price. :???: :-?

I noticed that south part of Okinawa with less high make aliasing when looking the skyline. The middle and north of the map is better.

Not so nice from the ground as you can imagine. Many people are going to be disapointed by this! But i repeat the goal is to have a realistic sight at middle and hight altitude.

....Ok so now what's the procedure? I send a link to admin first and then for all the people here, or i put the link for download now? It's just retexturing so i don't think people will have problem for install.

LAST SET of pics before RELEASE.

Ok so here we are now. I'm a little stressed by your future reactions guys. I got many good feedbacks, thanks for all that, but I know some of you will be disapointed by the quality of texture at very close altitude. The work is not perfect, the game engine is too limitated.

I did my best :roll: . I have still many things to learn, as i started modding maps 2 weeks ago. I still think there is some kind of optimisation which is possible to get something good at every altitude, i guess the map will need an update for that and for other little things to come.

So please be clement. Of course good and bad critics or suggestions are welcome :wink: .

I REALLY hope you will like this work, not a 100%, but enough to have fun with it, and take pleasure to fly in. If that's so i will be fine. It will be a succesfull end to all that hard work, because i'm really fu(censored)ing tired :lol: ....

Very innovation & imaginative use of google textures there! I look forward to DLing it.
Liked what you did texture-wise w/ the other maps,especially NG.

Altitude vs textures is always a tradeoff. Personally I would rather fly mid to high over this one. Big Grin

Thanks. For mid to hight fly the map is PERFECT :wink: . Spend 2 hours last night just flying in and taking shots, I have no missions for the moment for this map as i never played it before....the stock landscape never made me want to payed with.... :-?

The little problem now is that i have a little set of retextured map in the same realistic way, most still in progress but playable....and it make to mutch difference with so rest.

So ....at least for my personal use, as I guess some people will not like I touch their map (which is normal I can understand that , so no problem) , I will do the same for..............all the maps. Stock maps and new ones. :roll:

I have 6 under way. My biggest fear is the winter maps. I started to take shots of old white wall in Paris.....if you look it very close it seems like a satellite picture of the North Pole.
