I have the same 'problem' here Cnopicilin , just installed 1.2, and don't know what kind of MODS i have to install....Just installed a lot planes, but then the next step.... Sounds, Maps, Effects, Textures........... hock:

UI's are just a mod base .... so users can easily get their game mod friendly

So on top of it you can install any mod you like ( needs to be UI compatible though .... if from other sites )

One thing needs to be considered here :

in order to have CRT2 compatible game ( some online servers ) please deactivate any additional mod which contain coded files ( hashed ) before joining server . Mods which contain just re-skinned graph. files are ok ( re-textured maps ... re-textured cockpits etc.)

there's this guy BillSwagger who makes sounds, I'd use all his sound mods.

Some are better than others, but i'd say the flak and impact sounds are essential.
