Here HSFX4 + SAS Buttons + SAS Sounds in .SFS

So its a mix of AAA + SAS (Which have a lot from AAA) in a pack.

I myself use a combination of AAA and SAS. Thinking back on it, I might have all of UI and all of UP and more, I just had to do it incrimentally mod by mod. Took some time but LOVING mods from both sites.

I don't know of any mod sites other than these two. I know there are others, but it is just hard for me to navigate a page that is not in English (I'm an American). The only way I can do it is through Bablefish translator (which will translate an entire web page), but the translation is always off.

Had best luck using SAS MODACT and tried every thing but I am an off liner and SAS is taylored just for offline Play. I am thinking of d/l UP1.8 just to see whats in it and maybe KBALL parts that I can/would use. Remember there is a fine line that Online vs Offline applications may or may not be compatible for your option/game.

strictly mods published here ... many of them are dated 2007 ...way before UIs

although i have most of them heavily customized to match my taste and system (maps, sounds , pits , effects, destruction ....)

i like having fixed starting point ( mod base) which i can trust and be sure it works perfectly .... that way i don't have to wonder or take buttons file in to equation when something goes wrong .

There should be only one option...

"I use a unified pack that's been universally agreed upon and assembled by all the mod teams and sites" ... sigh... I am allowed to dream I guess...

As I don't have an internet connection I have to say the AAA restrictions, whilst not entirely limiting as such, do get a bit tiring. SAS stuff generally works just great as long as you take care installing them and show a little savvy. None of it is obligatory in any case.

As I don't have a computer right now, I have to say it's largely a moot point. But I'm going to have a mammoth installing session one of these days!

SAS Buttons / Mod Activator + AAA Mods, Aviaskin Mods, C6 Mods, UltraPack etc. I really don't care which site hosted it, if it's nicely done and has value for me, I'll get it.

Honestly, I don't think a unified installer will happen. Firstly, it would be too much of a compromise and while lacking many mods it would still be enormous in size and load time. Secondly... should there be one? Yeah, sorry, I don't want to offend anyone but I'm starting to get irritated when people complain that some mod sites are messing online play - it's not the mods, it is the people who abuse them (be they kids who don't care or overly "competitive" adults).

Il-2 is an offline, stricly historical experience for many people and it's great that finally there are mods that fix awfull FM's or edit in some way (even stricly visual / 3D model) the stock aircraft and objects.

AAA (which I love, and I've been a member of for over a year) is a host of many amazing mods, but it's aimed mostly towards online. SAS is the offliner's dream. The other mod sites are something in between, I'd say. And all of them have amazing visual enchancements, great new planes, maps, objects and improvements to stock Il-2 that deserve to be used. What's so bad with that?

Again, I fully understand why some people are concerned about mods (esp. changes to stock FM) affecting online flying in a very bad way. So if there's a way to create a unified setup for all the different communities that would guarantee smooth and honest online play, yes, I fully support it. But not at the cost for us offliners to sit beside and growl with our awfull FMs, poor AI and buggy looking stock planes. Deal with the people who abuse modding when flying online, not the modders themselves.

Messer, well stated. I agree with most of your points there.
