and with no ammo on 30mm guns the full rocketsalvo is useless for me if i missed

Usually I can't kill anything with Fw190 forward guns, so could please someone (do away with this bug and) model eight additional forward firing Mk-103 on it?

Yeah!! Those ruthless savages were brutally firing high calibre cannons and air to air rockets to peaceful and nearly altruistic bomber formations which were only supplying the population below with honey and butter.

Sorry chaps, I seem to be in a sarcasm mode today.

Trouble is, the ai doesn't react properly and at any rate there are never enough planes on screen to simulate the sorts of formations that the salvos would have attempted to break up.

I think this time the historical inaccuracy is offset, maybe even justified by the fact that the formations aren't broken up as you said. For this reason I believe a single or double shot of R4M's has a place in the game, and I'd like to see it too.

it used to fire 1 0r two rockets (in1946) at a time but now the 262 fires all 24 for some reason.

Or we could just leave it as is?

Look, the author of this topic's complaint was that he couldn't hit a fighter jet target with his r4m's. A 24 rocket salvo missed, what chance has single or double rocket salvo's? They were designed for attacking large lumbering formations of bombers, with maybe a hundred or two bombers in large formations, at varying altitudes, not say 16 bombers in various places on the map like in say the qmb. And definitely not for shooting down jet fighters.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

I'm quite aware what the rocket was for, thank you, but its historical purpose is moot if the game does not support it.

single and double rocket salvos allow for more shots so u have more chances to hit the target seems how one rocket can kill any plane. all 24 at once, u have less of chance to hit the target if it is turning, climbing, or diving away from u, u have to be really skilled to hit the target then

And then you waste all 24 rockets on one plane Smile

Can't see that in 1946. Not even close to. They act like non-retractable airbrakes, that's why I don't like to carry them around. Even if a good salvo grants a nearly sure headon kill against fighters. I also loved it when I could fire just 2 rockets per "click", but if it's more realistic to fire the whole load then let it be. I uses them on ground targets quite often, as they did not suck like the 108. But now even the salvo can take out quite some targets of a group.
But I still want to drop single bombs, which would be realistic. German planes have a control panel just for that.
