How can you convert 3D text meshes to binary?

I've starting to do some 3D MODing for IL-2 but using the MshConverter I have troubles.

I made something simple: I modyfied the 3d Objects which are the tracers of the game, to made them shorter, the MshConverter opens perfectly the modyfied file and exports it to .msh file (only as text, because it doesn't generate binaries).

You need to redo the UV mapping of the object if I'm not mistaken

Yes,you can take the mesh from the game,but you can't put the mesh into game...MshConverter is done that way deliberately.

Thanks for the answers, but then:

What would be the normal process to generate a valid mesh for the game?

Do the 3dsMAX plug-ins generate real binary .msh files? How do the modelers create new readable planes?
