IL-2 problem with the pedal
#1

HI! i have a problem with the pedal, whreas it's a steering-wheel's pedal, the pedals have separated axis,i would like assign to IL-2 "2" to these ones for the movement of the rudder.
For make this,i manually modified the "setting.ini" file, adding following strings:

AXE_RZ JoystickDevice1=rudder
AXE_Y JoystickDevice1=-rudder

In this way the pedals works contemporaneously, the only problem is that every pedal makes move the rudder on the both sides,so for keep him center i have to push one pedal and keep the other one half pushed.
Is there some other solution for solve this problem?

Advance Thanks!

i also use pedals from a USB wheel set - i didnt modify the cfg.ini i set them as any other control through the ingame controls menu. Try that, you may find on the first try the axis is reversed, if that happens push the opposite pedal to set the axis in the menu.

ie first attempt i pushed right pedal to set rudder axis, in game rudder was reversed, so i went back into controls and pushed left pedal to set axis. Then the rudder worked just fine

set pedals in wheel software to work as combined axis....that way you will have for bpth pedals just AXIS Y

This way none of them (pedals) pushed is the same as both pushed and its Y=0 (Y goes from -1 to 1)

Look in your wheel software help for pedal combined axis mode

thank for your help, but my pedals have separated axis (every pedal has his axis),
unfortunaly the option to assign only one axis to the pedals it's in the driver's control panel
but on windows seven doesn't exist something like that (or i think so,is there somebody who knows if exist
the control panel for the peripherials of microsoft's sidewinder?) so for work both the axis in the IL-2 i added
the strings, but i have this problem!
