Ive recently gotten into IL2 in a big way (better late then never) and ive been enjoying all the uber content availible here but im having a problem when lvl bombing in any aircraft using the norton sight not a prob but i for the life of me cant get a blens bombay door to open or to drop bombs i enter all the bombing data correctly get over target and no matter what i do i cant drop the damn bombs!

Ive looked for a open bomb bay door key mapping and cant find one (from memory blens used giant rubber bands to hold the doors shut anyway)and using my weapon 4 doesnt drop em aswell =( I really need help here cuzz ive spent hours making a cool blen intruder style mission and cant drop my damn bombs!! Any help form the IL2 vets here would be apreciated

I believe it's Power 10% that you need to map. Because basically no one uses the keyboard for throttle anyway, modders have started using those for new commands like bomb bay doors.

Why not make a sticky with info how to solve these "can't drop bombs" problems? There's a question on that almost every day...

Yes with the UI 1.1 and 1.2 you MUST open bomb bay doors first in order to drop bombs.
So set a key to open the doors. default is the " power 10 " now it says NOTHING about it being a DOOR.
Once you set open door key then use what every key you like to drop the bombs.
I use the { 1 } above the keyboard to open the doors.

I have posted this now four times, but if that helps its worth it :?
