Do you have UI 1.2 installed, ---- or HSFX, ---- or UP1.8?

This version will not work with UI 1.2

If you have UI 1.2 you must have done something wrong. Here are the installation instructions again.
Please check carefully.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -- HMS ESkimo Tribal Class Destroyer
Do not use these for the HSFX UP1.8 version

This model is a work in progress. Some of the distant LODS for minor parts are incomplete and the damage and collision models are incomplete. If this bothers you then do not install it.
Feel free to make any comments on any other issues.
The model still uses some of USS Fletcher as "place holders", though you may have to look quite closely to notice.

Before starting the installation you should have ShipPack2 installed and working properly.
Backup the file 9AED69FCA28642D0 in the Shippack2 folder
Also backup chief.ini ships.ini, stationary.ini and technics_ru.properties

1. Unzip the download to desktop.

2. Copy the HMSEskimo subfolder to IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS/ShipPack2/3do/Ships ---- not the main folder.

3. Copy the 13 class files to IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS/ShipPack2. 9AED69... will overwrite the existing files

4. Text edits are required in chief.ini ships.ini, stationary.ini and technics_ru.properties as follows:

I have UI 1.2 . Thanks! It loaded now, and it is really nice!!! The problem was just one missed line before its data in ships.ini Smile

Great. Glad you got it fixed mishapilot. Me109 maybe these notes will help.

For UI 1.2 installation you must start with version switcher set to 4.08 modded or 4.09 modded and with ShipPack2 installed and ships appearing correctly in FMB/View/Objects/Show.

To install HMS Eskimo

1. Extract HMS_Eskimo.rar to a temporary folder on Desktop. In the temp folder you have HMS_Eskimo folder containing MODS folder and readme

2. Copy and Paste the MODS folder into your game root folder. This will add 13 new class files into root/MODS/ShipPack2. One of the class files needs to over write an existing file the other 12 are new files. It will also add the new msh folder root/MODS/ShipPack2/3do/ships/HMSEskimo. If this section is done correctly and you have the ShipPack2 ships appearing in FMB but not HMS Eskimo then the problem is with the text edits of the ini and properties files.

3. Text edits are required in chief.ini ships.ini, stationary.ini and technics_ru.properties files. These are existing files in your installation. They are likely to be in root/files or root/MODS/STD. Do a file search in the root folder and sub folders for each of these files to confirm that you only have one of each. If you have two of any of them this may create problems.

4. If you have multiple files then the game will only use the first one it finds. It will look first in /Mods, then in /files then in the game *.sfs files. This means that if you have multiple files and your text edits are not made in the correct file they may not be read by the game engine. Use the readme file to copy and paste the text edits required.
