is there any other sites offering the HSFX 4.0 and 4.1 down loads..

I tried to install utorrent but it crashed my computer.

win vista 64bit..

I tried to down-load from 242 but it only let me down load 2 files and now i have to wait 1hour and 30 min berfore I can down-load another 2..

I had same problem, on the 242 squadron website ....i skipped this too...it says for people with digitial download install this patch. Get it, install into route directory and then you will be fine.....I use Azerus/Vuze for torrents.... Either way get that patch it re routes you back to AAA anyways...

confusion #2 I downloaded the HSFX 4.0 i think and now it states I need il2 Sturmovik Pacific fighters
I have il2 Sturmovik 1946?
Also it stops and asks for disk #2?

You did start with a fresh install of Il2 1946, I'm thinking you attempted to install HSFX 4.0 over a stock 4.07 IL2 1946 installation if so then;

Install IL2 1946;
Patch to 4.08m;
Patch to 4.09m; and last
Install HSFX 4.0.

Then go through the "HSFX V4 Tools & Read me's" folder, best FAQ you'll find for HSFX.

You did start with a fresh install of Il2 1946, I'm thinking you attempted to install HSFX 4.0 over a stock 4.07 IL2 1946 installation if so then;

Install IL2 1946;
Patch to 4.08m;
Patch to 4.09m; and last
Install HSFX 4.0.

Then go through the "HSFX V4 Tools & Read me's" folder, best FAQ you'll find for HSFX.

Fresh install I spent the whole day installing everything
4.07m
patched to 4.08m
4.09m
HSFX4.0
HSFX 4.1

Now stock 4.09m works and if I disable that one
I can run 4.08m
but when I try to run HSFX it CTDs

If you are on Vista, install the 4.09 patch as admin, or it can install wrongly. I and some others had the 5% thinbg as well, and it was caused by 4.09 not installing properly.

I have to enable the HSFX mod!
Thats not in the read me that you have to do that?
also install the 6d0f last to get it to work. Thats because it over writes the HSFX exe, if you put it in first; the HSFX over writes the 6d0f resulting in it not working.

My first impressions.

I played the Berserbia map and loaded of course the perfect setting awesome work on the maps.

I took a hurricane iib 1940 again awesome work on the names and national name for different countries.

I loaded the BF109E1 1940 Luftwaffe's as theres a difference with them and the German democratic republic.

The splash screens are exquisite!

OK I started the mission noticed right away the plane fly's different more realistic it felt to me.

I went at a 109 and actually pissed myself (giant grin on my face) when I could hear the actual wings and canvas stress loads in turns. That made my day..

Thank you HSFX and AAA and SAS for your hard work this has made this Sim much better in fact I think its a crime not to pay $19.99 for this add on as such as FSX over Flanders fields is charging for their work..
