I'm having trouble with this file "weapons_ru", .. I tought it was easy to edit it and add stuff but its not showing in game.
The changes I make to it are not detected in-game.

What do I have to do, for the changes I made to this list...to actually show in-game?

(I dont want to add new aircraft slot or anything like that), just play with the loadout a little... add a droptank to 109G 10, Ki-43 II , Fw-190A8..etc

how do I go about doing that?

requires some class file editing to add loadouts....the weapons_ru.properties file is just a text file to describe the load outs that are in the class file. Public discussion of class file editing is "Verboten" so if you want to learn you'll have to ask one of the class file "guru's" nicely to take you under their wing.

yep basically what he said^^

the weapons_ru and plane_ru are just files that make the plane names, and the weapon selection names look "better". You can delete both of them and you'd still have your planes and weapons but there won't be any spaces in the names and other details etc... Class files hold all the other info for which weapons they have etc...

Yeah, if you only had to edit the weapons and plane_ru files, then everybody would probably fly with super hotrodded airplanes online :wink:

I cannot see the problem with poeple knowing how to edit loadouts? Is it not the case that the online game checks anyway to see if the aircraft is legit before allowing it into the game? :?
I too tried changing some loadouts for offline play. Seems a pity its not as easy as it would appear.

I dont play much online..
I also dont intend to add a 4000lb bomb on a messerschmitt 109.. All I want is historical realism and correct load out.
Adding a fuel tank capability to a plane that did not have one before cause the developers were too lazy to include it, does not make it unrealistic
