Hello,
I have a question about the Carrier takeoff mod in HSFX en UP
Tried it now for some time, but i would like to get rid of it.
The rest of the pack shoud stay though
does anybody know how i can disable only this mod and keep the rest of the pack :?:

Use the JSGME switcher in the root folder. You can enable / disable most of the mods from there.

Yeah, i know, but i cannot see the Carrier takeoff mod there.
Even if i disable all the mods, i still have the takeoff mod.
I can only disable it by enabling the 409m_original mod (disable mod function completely) and that is what i don't want to do.
I still want a=other mods.
I suppose it is some kind of file in the Files or Mods directory that i can remove?
Anyone an idea?

I thought that CTO mod was incorporated into the ZUTI DSMod, so if you disabled that, it should disable the CTO mod...but sounds like you tried that and didn't work.

Does your JSGMEMODS folder and JSGME switcher look like these??

Okay, this is my HSFX version and below that is my Up18 version
As you can see, the CTO disabled and yet it still works, untill i activate the 'Stock 409m' mod.
And below my HSFX directory structure
I fly mostly the UP version, since i'm not flying online, so that would be my biggest request for help.

How do you get all of those installs to work under one File name?
In HSFX 4.1 it can be disabled in JSGME and it works. (you must disable the Zuti1.01 too though, at least that worked for me). The update for UP 1.8 is due out tomorrow, but I don't know if the carrier thing will be updated.

I am not sure what you mean????
If you mean all the versions in different directory's then it is easy 8)
I made a simple 409b install.
Then made a new directory with the name 409.mods and copied all files from the install to this directory and installed the JSGME
Then made a new directory with the name 409.hsfx and copied all the file from the original install and installed the hsfx etc'
etc
etc
After all this, i made shortcuts to the exe files et voila

The thing is they ALL start with IL-2.
Not sure but that may be where your trouble is.
By putting something in front of the name change it will be changed like
when you disable a mod [ - ]. Not sure .

Yahooooooo, i found it. :o
Just downloaded the original mod, unrarred it and looked at the files.
In the UP18 version of my IL2 i removed from the FILES directory, all the files with the same name as the 5.3.3 mod version of CTO
Started the game and i got my old fashioned takeoff back.
So everybody wo also wants to do it, just remove the 10 files from the mod (move them to another place, just in case you remove the wrong files 8) )

Did this cause any bugs that you've noticed?

Nope, not that i have found.
But i must say that i always play offline with UP2.0 and only sometimes with HSFX (also offline).
But the new HSFX 4.1 can the CTO be disabled with the JSGME tool.
