About dropping all the bombs at once

is there a way to drop all the bombs in plane continuously one after another with hitting only one key? pressing wpn 3 button each time you want to release bombs in a heavy bomber loaded with dozens of small bombs is quite frustrating. is there a key that i don't know or mod for releasing all the bombs at once?

Well if you use the bombsight and use bombsight automation then all the bombs will go off, as long as your bombsight crosshairs are there if you put bombsight automation on all your bombs will drop. Unless of course you actually programmed the bombsight properly then it will wait till it gets to the right place.

Hello Sirs!

Here is more difficult question: Can bombers be put to manually drop one bomb at a time?

The IL2 sim has this far used a simplified bombing method of dropping bombs in pairs. I guess this originates from the early versions of the sim where the first AI bombers were made rather for fighter targets than for realistic bombing.

Two bombs dropped in same spot have the same destructive radius as one bomb. So a forced dropping bombs as pairs practically wastes half of the bomb capacity. I wonder if anyone could find a means to set bombers drop bombs manually one at a time, as they were done in reality.. :?:

yes, but only on new bombers, the existing ones won't be modified.

Tnx for expert comment, Raptor! Nice to see that you are becoming an advanced programmer in addition to being a skilled pilot, too!

Of coure. For example, the new SM.79 drops bombs singles or salvo, not pairs.
