Again with the sound issues.

I was wondering. Is there a manual that tells you what plane that certain engine sounds are for? Somebody outthere should know! This applies to other effects such as weapons sounds. There has got to be a master list somewhere

if you are using the sas buttons file, I know they include a spreadsheet saying which sound preset files are assigned to which aircraft motor. You can use that to find those files and read them, and that will tell you which smaples it uses. Otherwise, look in files / presets / sounds and you'll find files for various sounds. for example, the list of sound files that the Griffon engine uses are contained in the file motor.Rolls-Royce-GriffonIII

I know where the Griffon sounds are but its to match the plane with the correct engine sounds. A lot of times there are just numbers. How do you match the number with the aircraft. For example would you know what aircraft a machinegun called a 59i would be in. Iknow thats not an engine but its an example

I'm not using the sas buttons. Shouldn't there be a "spread sheet' in il246 that will do the same thing. If there is where might it be found.

Hey Relic
very interesting, I just posted at ultra pac 2 days ago, with the same sort of thing, 24 views no replies
Im trying to build a prs file to use the ultra pac, sfs sounds, so I can change the settings.
currently, Im building the prs by, looking at the sfs files with the sfs extractor, and using a sound pac
as a reference, its going very slow, and not to successful.
Any Ideas out there?

hi moxxy
I'm not having a problem changing the various sounds. My problem is getting the right sounds for the right engine. Same with weapons sounds. Somebody has got to have a list that tells you what engine sound goes with what engine and plane. I'm thinking of going directly to the people who produced this game. If I did't like this flight sim so much I wouln't bother. I'm sure if I am having this problem there are probably others out there as well. I'm sure someone has a list, but who!!!!
