I installed IL-2 on my friends computer ,when we enable the history mod,the load screen and the main il-2 screen is in Russian
The game runs in english with any other mod.I cant seem to figure this one out
Any help would greatly be appreciated

Similar problem here. Not the whole game, but the radio menus in-game are in Russian. So far, I haven't seen a single solution for this, although MANY people complained about problems like that.

Not certain whether it will solve your problem but may be worth a try.
Suggest not to use the self installer but extract all files to desktop and manually install.

Its funny,i installed HSFX the same way on his computer as mine,mines fine ,and his is screwed!!!!!!!

I've never seen the main screen in Russian, but this does solve some of the issues:

open JSGME and enable Dgen Offline Campaigns (Hsfx) and it should fix this problem for you.
Or this might help.

Mission naming:-

The underlying il2fb.exe is Russian although all of the menus have been changed to English (or whatever you chose
under language). For this reason if you wish to play old missions you must rename the mission properties files:-

Eg
brilliantmission.mis
briliantmission.properties would be your mission.

Change the missions properties files to:- brilliantmission_ru.properties and you will then get the briefing s back in
English.

After enabling Dgen off line Campaigns and History HSFX mods, I cant even get my campaigns to load at all. I click the generate button and all i get is a clciking noise???

How do i fix this and what is the problem?
