The MiG-15 and 17 share the same skin so a void for one will work with the other until PeterD finishes all his changes. THe Skyraider uses the Tempest void so you actually have one for the Skyraider already.

I don't get why so many people want a white void skin though, because there are templates out there for all of these planes and all he's going to do is use the lines and rivets from the skin. Might as well download a template and then edit as you please........

the first thing they should have made are the void skins for all the planes in the game so the skinners could use them instead of using some one elses work all we want are voids for the new aircraft
I havent found any Mig templates just skins some one else has done

The MiG has several templates available. I know I made one myself and HH_Blaze is working on one right now. Also Mathaus has made a reworked MiG-15 Template of mine, which was a vast imrovement, I must say, that I now use. viewtopic.php?t=22469&highlight=mig15
I bet if you contact him, He'll send a copy.

HH_Blaze made a brand new from scratch Panther template over at Flightsimfiles.com, http://www.flightsimfiles.com/, along with several other people.

And Finally, I think F22-Raptor-2006 made a void Sabre for somebody. But there are at least two Sabre templates over at Flightsimfiles. One by HH_Blaze and one by me. I think even F22-Raptor dropped one in there, but can't remember right now.

So if you are having such a fit over not having voids for these, then my suggestion would be to download the above mentioned templates and make your own voids then you can go through all the trouble we ALREADY went through so you wouldn't have to, and make your own skins from scratch.

Happy skinning. Big Grin

Perhaps you should explain what kind of program you use for making your skins. Perhaps I am assuming too much. I use Photoshop to make my templates. The "voids' you speak of that you suppose I used were not what you think of as a typical void. I got my base layers from PeterD. He made the original layer and one of his partners made the internals. That was the Sabre. When I did the MiG-15, PeterD sent me a MiG template that was very, very basic. I then researched the web and found pics and PeterD sent me the plans he used to make the original 3D model. I then used those to draw all the lines and panels and rivets from scratch. I am probably assuming that you do not use layers, but I may be wrong so I'll let you explain. Please be thorough because I am old and have trouble understanding these days.

lol there is no such "void" for newly mapped planes like the sabre and mig. The person draws all the lines and rivets by hand by looking at pictures and diagrams.

Well, if you use Photoshop, then why all the fuss about voids? The folks that made the templates already did the heavy lifting. I know with my last two templates, I left a whole set of layers untouched. They are the original layers I made to, for lack of a better term, make a void. I did that so other folks could use those original layers to make their own skins the way they want. I honestly do not understand your aingst.

the link you have up is 8 bit one layer skins there are no layers or it would be PSD form so you could see the layers
what I was asking is very simple voids for the new planes if there is no such animal
ok but there should be so others can skin planes with out having to make their own voids to work with like all the voids in the game guess I will make one and put just the void up for download for skinners to use thats all they need
