I wonder if anyone can help me, my friend installed v4.08 MODS ON to my 46 game and everything was going well, until i was on hyperlobby,last night i noticed that most of the servers have switched to .09, so i tried to download v4.09 and install it myself. Well that was the most stupid idea i've ever had because not only am totally new to this version downloading and switching, i now have no v4.08 MODS ON but i cant even join any servers on hyperlobby. when i try to join a game a message pops up to tell me that the host uses a different version, i cant play either v4.08 or v4.09?
I've had to uninstall everything and start again from fresh, i cant get my friend to do it again for me as he's been in hospital for 4 months and i dont think he'll be aloud home again.
Can some one please help me im so despirate to get back on?
is there any instructions any where that written for someone like me (a download and installer dummy). As, as you can tell i found it hard to follow the instructions given on this site.

Could someone please take the time out to help me please?

Modding 1946 to the new UP 2.0
HSFX



1st and most important you must have an unmodded 4.09
Simply install 1946 then patch to 4.08 then 4.09



To Get HSFX:

Go to http://www.missionoperationsgroup.net
(This is a very well organized site for this mod.) You will get the ultrapack here.

Select Downloads

Select " How to install IL2" for very short breifing if you need it.

Select " IL2 Sturmovik 1946 ". This will provide order of installs.

Select download you want.

I had a fresh 1946 modified to 4.08 and 4.09.

So I did the following:

Download UP_1.8 and 2.0 (2.0 is an update )

10 total files at around 4 GB

Hey thanks for answering me, i tried using missionoperation group, i clicked on il2 1946 downloads, yhen a clicked on the option 1946 to 4.8, it then gives you a list of seven programs to down load, it say's that you must down load them in order, well i started to do this and i was able to get the first one but then when i try for the second it comes up with file assotiation and wont let me get the file.
Im going crazy here man.

Try "Save As" instead of "Run", and save everything to folders on your desktop.
The run them after you have everything you need.

Get the English/International version. I found the "myotherdrive" link to be the fastest. Also get the New Default skins download, and the PDF Guide if you want it.

ULTRAPACK (UP 2.0)
UltraPack which has more maps and planes than HSFX. In addition, it has a switch to convert to HSFX 4.1 compatibility. Install it over a separate copy of the game, patched to 4.09m Official.
