Tiger 33's Ultimate Sound Mod V2

Good work Tiger, although there are a few small bugs, the benefits far out weigh the bugs for me.

Thank you for your hard work and generousity.

There is one little bug though that I wonder if would be easy to fix? I am using San's FOV utility http://il2fovchanger.byethost7.com/

I think I read somwhere maybe in your "read me" that you have a certain FOV fixed for flyby and I can understand why you would. But when going back to cockpit view I think you also have a default FOV set there as well? Which over rides what I have set in my San's utility Cockpit FOV.

Is it possible for me to set that default cockpit FOV the same as my San's cockpit FOV (150) so they don't conflict?

Thanks Tiger!

Kindest Regards,

Warren

First of all its a reat mod.

Most airplanes are working well, very nice sound.

Have u.i 1.2 and sas buttons 4.3 installed

As i said most of airplanes ar working.

Having problems/crash at the moment with F-4U Corsair and F6F Hellcat. After trying to load qmb mission or training mission take off from Carrier, it crashes after it reached 90-100%. Cant explain because Zero (Carrier based fighter ) works.

It crashes after "loading humans".

Wolfighters new pilot textures are deactivated as you wrote.

Any suggestions?

I dont want to miss your mod its really fantastic

Thanks FZ! The patch gives back control to San's FOV utility, which is better.

But now Tigers flyby visual is not as good as it was. To have best of both worlds, Tigers flyby would need to have control of FOV when F3 is keyed, then San's Cockpit veiw would need to be re-activated when F1 is keyed.

I can definitely live with it the way it is now, but would ba fabulous to have both working together. I think I will post over at SAS.

Thanks again for the link.

THIS MOD SUCKS........

GREAT BIG BAGS OF SOUND MOD GOODNESS!!!

Best mod ever END OF STORY!

Ok, I'm very excited right now after having just tried this, but a word to those who might be struggling to get this set up correctly, stick with it, it's definitely worth any pain you may be experiencing.

Also READ "Ultimate Sound Mod V2_EN" file, it seems that some of the trouble I have read is from not following these instructions first.

Ok, I'm back to it.

Cheer, CS. Smile

OK, now that I've tried it in-game instead of just listening to the videos (which, by the way, many people including me are unable to access at the moment because vimeo seems to be the worst choice for publishing videos and doesn't work with every browser) I have to say they are really great. The strongly muffled sound of exploding planes nearby and the disturbing crunch of bullets surprisingly tearing through the own fuselage are very realistic! (And the unnerving high whistle in the Go-226 is gone... finally...)

What strikes me is that the flyby sounds for my favourite planes (don't hit me over the head - Go-226, He III "Lerche", Ta-183, Do-337 "Pfeil") seem to be very low in volume - they should be ear-deafening loud with those early jet engines or the powerful props. I am very satisfied with the sound of four B-25s roaring past, though Wink

Overall: Great mod! Thank you!

Nice mod but needs work. cockpit sounds are far too quiet, WWII pilots didn't wear bone domes, they wore leather helmets with headphones over the ears. I would expect the cockpit to be a much louder environment, I may not have been around many WWII Aircraft cockpits , but I have been around a lot of industrial equipment, Jackhammers/pneumatic drills ,I can tell you you can hear all these things even with ear protectors on. I have also worked at the British airways Maintainance Dept, we had the BOB commemorative flight Lancaster lay over once and although I never got the chance to get inside it I can tell you with all her Merlin's running to speed it was damn loud and with just 3 or 4mm of skin between those engines and the insides I can imagine that it wouldn't be much quieter inside the aircraft. what it sounds like in this mod seems far too quiet. Is there any way to increase the in-cockpit sounds? Also as has been mentioned previously the flyby needs to be repeatable if you stay in the F3 view.
Apart from that awesome work Tiger mate.

for those who have problems with messages like "cannon dump01" or other ...you can remove
these 3 files in the directory "0_NewSounds + Flyby"
these 3 files in the directory "0_NewSounds + Flyby"

49573BB01D17442A
98BEEEBA358B21AC
3C0302F29925BF74

But then you hear again the sound of weapons ennemy from the cockpit view but in a smaller radius has the original by settings done in the "presets".

For those who find the volume too low engine from the cockpit view
you download this:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GG79TLJ8

and you put these two "class" in "0_NewSounds + Flyby" instead of old.
I also balanced the volume from the external view at one time for all engines by modifying these files..

Downloaded twice and came up as an "invalid archive" when I activated WinZip.

Has the bugs been fixed regarding the early P-38's in HSFX for this mod? Aswell has other bugs?
