Great. But, yet again, it will mean another patch/mod-pack etc to support this and yet again more hassle. If only TD could work with the mod sites then unification would be a lot simpler. Just my 2P Big Grin

However, TD is working a little with modders.

I understand that they are working a little with modders, that's good to know Wink But I think more needs to be done. Oleg can happily leave Il-2 with TD but they need to say whether or not they will support mods. The TD can release a mod pack for all of us to use, and then all the forums can start making mods as before for a good base pack. At least then it's officially supported Big Grin

Oh, yeah, pal-that's the dream of every IL-2 modder in the know. However, there are things happening behind the scenes. One of them is more focus on Storm of War development. In some ways, Oleg is much farther in his thinking than many folk give credit. They work on things years ahead of release in overlapping fashion. They try many experiments with models and scrap some things, even recreating some other models. Contrary to popular belief in the IL-2 communities, the guys under Oleg are working hard and accomplishing much.

Well, I did it again, man. I got carried away...

You know how I am, right?

ya Aces of Aces, I know how ya feel, didn't realize the Ai were like that till we tried the KTO mods, and then the Ai MiG17's could turn circles around my Sabre while I was in a blackout trying to stay with them.

Okay, so we know Oleg and the Team are promising better AI, as they have for years.

What will come farther down the road? What is left to do after these issues? I would like to see AI have more randomness. Sometimes they fight and other times they put their tail between their legs and run, etcetera.

DT have already stated that they do not and will not support mods other than DT mods for ethical reasons (but its nice to see that mods can light a fire under their ass for new features).

Hi,

Yeah, I know all that. It is the official line. However, knowing what I know about things happening behind the scenes for years, I know that Oleg has an official policy for legal reasons-affiliations, contracts, and so forth. However, as you alluded, things happen which are cheaper and sometimes more effective than direct relationships. I'm sure guys can read between the lines here.

Can you please explain what this means and maybe throw a link where this was said. And I'm not sure what that last part means.
