60% CTD after installing some mods...
#1

I am having a slight problem here...I installed U.I 1.1 , U.I 1.2 over a clean install. I then started the game...Worked fine! I then installed the Hells Angels campaign, the F86 and Mig15 mods....Started the game and it worked fine. Then...I installed some more campaigns by various authors...(most of which DID not include exe. files that needed to overwrite anything BTW) and the troublesome and very necessary shippack2. The only other mods I have installed recently, (right before the crash) were cockpits for B-17's, B24, C47 and Fi-156 storch. Somewhere before the cockpits, shippack2 and the various campaigns (which I can list if it helps) the game started to crash at 60% on startup...Is there any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? I tried to remove the cockpits from the mods folder and change back to the old ones...no luck. I also tried to reinstall shippack2 and the Sabre and Mig 15 and also no luck....What does the 60% CTD mean? Thanks guys!

Game Load failure causes

0% - missing or incorrect FM reference or Air.ini error.

15%-20% - class file incorrect/incorrect reference, or missing. No logfile.lst will generate.

60% - FM, bad or missing.

Plane explodes on spawn: - Incorrect or missing engine file.

No cockpit view, external only: - incorrect cockpit reference in class file.

Can't view aircraft in QMB: Incorrect named aircraft folder or incorrect entry or missing hier.him.

Game loads 100% then loading error "Null":
1)Engine sub-series reference in FMD incorrect.
2)Bad parameter or text error in engine file.

i did had the same problem
after installing the gyro gunsightmod.

what i did was roll back my system to Friday 29th before all the mod installs

and from there install carefully all the mods back.
double check everything. always make a back up!!

60% CTD usualy means (if you have made all the correct entries into your relevant ini files) an incompatible buttons file.

well thats kinda weird...I installed U.I 1.2 and before my computer crashed a few days ago, that had the buttons file that I was using for both the sabre and the mig. Also, the mig and the sabre were working fine before the game crashed. It wasnt until I installed shippack2 and some campaigns that it crashed at 60%...Any other ideas?

U.I. 1.2 buttons already has the Sabre and MiG by Peter D.
The 60% CTD means your air.ini contains an entry for an aircraft which is not in your MODS folder, and/or not in buttons.

You mention the ship pack...are you absolutely certain the CTD is happening, not at 60%, but maybe at 70%?

definantly crashing at 60% and not at 70%...I didn't add anything to my air.ini file...not sure what the deal is...Hmm...
