Shift/Ctrl+F2 without parachutes?
#1

Hi there,
I just did a short forum search but didn't find anything. Is there an option to change the Shift+F2/Ctrl+F2 sight (external view on friendly/enemy planes) so that it only shows the PLANES and not the five million parachutists from the eight B29s I already shot down? It's quite annoying... "let's see how many are left and which one is burning" - Ctrl+F2 - parachute - Ctrl+F2 - parachute - Ctrl+F2 - parachute ... - Ctrl+F2 - plane - Ctrl+F2 - parachute - "Damn, clicked once too often!!!"

Is there a) a setting or b) a mod against it?

Thanks in advance for every advice!

We have all tried that and you do know it is not a good substitute to ctrl+F2  .

F6 doesn't really work unless the enemies are REALLY close. Also, it doesn't allow for you to assess the damage. It is not a substitute to ctrl F2 which shows enemies no matter distance and show them close enough to assess damage.

I am with J99Eingehirner there, made me laught since it is such familiar situation.

In FMB (so in mission files) there is an option to turn off parachutes of a given flight. This is not ideal, since it involves editing missions files 1 by 1 and for each flight in it, and the solution is a bit too much: to avoid going through the 1 million parachutes (yeah it is damn annoying!) we simply have no one bailing out at all :-?

So skipping parachutes would be nice if possible.

I may be the only one but you should just play with F6 and figure it out. I can track and bad guy
from the time he takes off until I see him in my gunsights. No matter how far away.

To make this a little bit clearer:
I don't want to track them. I want to see them to make movies etc and to keep an eye on how many of those nasty ACE Gladiators are still out there and how many my stupid AI wingmen have killed already. This is what F2 sight is for, to switch through the other planes. F6 is padlock - has nothing to do with F2 which is external view.

I had hoped for something like the AI rear gunner thing - where you can choose if you want to START with the gunner on auto, want him to SWITCH to auto after you left his position or NOT GOING auto at all if you don't tell him. Just a simple setting "Show/Don't show parachutists as planes".

+1. It is frustrating to go trough 300 parachutes before the last plane and accidentallly pressing CTRL+F2 again and start again...
