Hello here's the IJN background I promised. Same as before, simply replace the old file loacted in Missions/Campaign or single/IN with this one. Don't forget to backup the older ones (especially these ones as the old backgrounds are quite nice!).

I love your background images; one thing: Could you consider creating a lighter version for your background tgas? (something in the area of 768kb as the originals) Great work anyway!

Yep be happy to, just wondering why? Why are they too big? A 512 x 512 pix image produces a file 768kb in size is this what you're after?

Should you ever feel any inspiration, there are many fans here who love Spanish Civil War era planes, skins, campaigns, missions etc ... bet they would be tickled pink with a SCW theme startup screen

Thanks for your prompt reaction; yes, what I am afraid is that larger files will slow down the game (which has acquired gigantic proportions with all my add-ons anyway!); I had a look at the standard tgas so I ended up with that size. May I also second Agracier's demand for SCW background images? Keep up the great work!

If you want to reduce the sizes of other tga files you have I can recommend IrfanView; a free program which seems to work really well for tga files!

Mmm SCW, not an area I know much about. Might have to do some research before attempting a background, but I will definitely put it on the to do list!!!
