Best choice for an off-liner?

It seems UI is easier modable than HSFX?
I don't go online ever,so should i choose UI then?

If you are strictly an offliner, then you should have a look at the SAS Mod Activator:

UP2.0 is the way to go.
All mod packs are easy moddable.

Yes, as the others suggest, UP2.0 is the best way for offliners (I'm one too), IMHO.

I'd strongly recommend SAS. The opportunities for customisation are much better and you aren't stuck with a variety of mods selected by someone else.

Hi,

The HSFX is actually easier for adding and managing mods.

You really can not go wrong with any mod pack for offline flying and mods collecting.

1) If you only want to try the mods that exist and won't do much adding of individual mods-if any-then I recommend getting the biggest mod pack that you can find. Any large mod pack will do, however, because they all have enough in them to keep you busy having fun for years!

2) If " size really matters " , then get the UtraPack 2.0 or MegaPack for the more mods than you will ever see. If you want smaller size but still a larger number of mods, then get the HSFX 4.1

3) Other options are the FusionPack and other ones.

Here is the basic list:

UI 1.1 and UI 1.2 which are okay if you simply can not get the others for various reasons.

HSFX 4.1 that will give you UI 1.1, 1.2, 1.2.5, SFX, SAS, and a bunch of other nice surprises for mods-yet compressed smaller than the UI

UltraPack 2.0 which includes all the above and nice additional content.

MegaPack

FusionPack

Other miscellaneous mod packs, mostly of smaller size.

Enjoy the whole process like a candy shop!

UP2.0m with SAS buttons. UP is HSFX with more stuff (basically).

A little tip: UP will install with a deactivated MODS folder (with a dash in front of it, i.e. "-MODS"). Remove the dash, then go into the folder and remove the STD folder (these are stock UP2.0 files and are now out of date with the release of UP2.0m patch) so MODS is empty. Now you can place you mods into MODS folder just as with any other installation. Add back in a STD folder and needed contents, including most recent SAS buttons, when you are ready to try adding new aircraft. Copy text files you need to edit from UP's "Files" folder so you have the most recent UP files as a base. You can also find instructions for adding new maps here.

You'll have to find SAS stuff on your own as moderators will remove links.

what AKDavis said....that is actually how I have my UP2.0 set up....mods folder, SAS buttons. The UP2.0 uses JSGME switcher so the "packaged" mods can be turned off/on as you please, and one of them is HSFX mod pack. I put all new mods into the Mods folder....planes, maps, effects...you name it. I have about 50 in there now. If there is a conflict, simply disable it (or if it's on of them in the JSGME folder, simply switch it out). No fuss, no muss.

I'd be a bit wary of UP though. They changed some of the FM's and the general concensus seems to be that they changed them for the worse. Of course though it does have some more mods than HSFX so it's all down to personal preference.

Me? I'm on a heavily modded UI 1.2. Why? Because most of the time I can be assured that all the mods I download will work well. With some of the SFS files, certain mods won't work together and some of those mods I do like (like the .303 tracer mod) Wink But sometime or other I will get around to installing HSFX/UP but for the mean-time I'm happy Wink

That is the point. Flying offline, it does not really matter who's FM you have.

I use UP2.0 as well. The number of Bf.109 variants at your disposal is staggering, to say the least.
