I keep trying out the PF campaigns, and dag nab, they are hard, especially the navy missions! Could someone at least give me a walkthrough for the USN Palau campaign? For some reason it just annoys the crap out of me.
The real dificult i have with this extensive ocean maps is the navegation. Dam!! to many times i spend all my fuel looking for my carrier base. Just a needle in a barn!! some like in the film "Air force" looking for Wake xD

lol - good luck finding any landmarks on an ocean map -
There's Titanic... The carrier should be 390 nautical miles to the south.
Well, if you are in troubles with navigation, just hit autopilot or timeskip, and minimap path ON (so do I)!
Too bad this doesn't make it much quicker getting to target... Your pilot is more likely to die by age rather than by enemy fire!
IMO, the hardest part of pacific campaigns is constant HUGE enemy numerical superiority. Seriously, how are 4-6 wildcats supposed to stop a 16-24 bettys raid, while dealing with the escort Zeros (which are nasty enough themselves)? Or to sink a jap carrier in the middle of flak from all the fleet?
EXACTLY! Plus, I think the AntiAircraft guns are hard to get past. In the Chichi Jima campaign, the AAA is so damn thick that you can barely survive it no matter what you're flying. Plus, on every other mission, your carrier gets attacked by some thirty Zeros, and defending the fleet with just 6 Seafires. I was so pissed at Maddox games for a while.
When escorting TBMs on Palau, one little fighter distracts you from escorting the bombers halfway to the target, and the TBMs get turned into flying sushi for the Japs.
A campaign is worth playing as long as it's beatable.
You do get the feeling from time to time on some of the offline missions the mission designer expects the realistic gunnery and limited ammo off. Suppose, you always can go into the full mission builder and adjust things.
There's no tutorial on how to use the full mission builder, and I can't figure it out. theres no way to place objects or modify mission stats.

Gee, thanks, man!
...But can you hack the campaigns with the FMB?
