Water=5....isn't that the Noah Mod? It includes 1500 new animal objects (one male and one female) and adds AI doves, an Ark for ShipPak3, a rainbow add-on for weather settings and a Noah pilot skin. Plus I hear there is a Mt. Ararat map in progress.

I run water = 5 and at times I can see whitecaps. If the take off spawn is on the water I can see small wakes from the runway level. I have an nVidia 9800 GT.

All I know is that it made a big difference from Water=0, or 1. Frame rates haven't gone down either.

True. So if you have set Water to 5 like you say, try opening your conf.ini file and see what it says now. I run an ATI 4870 and for a lark tried setting it to 4 in the conf.ini file just to see what would happen. The game started and ran fine with good FR. At first I wondered why the game would run with decent looking water with a setting of 4 on my machine. Now I know. The game automatically changed it back to a 1. Confusedhock:

That's true in many cases, but if you change the properties of you config ini to a read only file the settings will never change.Water=5 [Image: water.jpg] =White caps and very clear water with fantastic wave action.

This is what I did. I changed to water=5 in the config.ini and it shows the wave action and whitecaps in the deep water. I see exactly what you show in your screenshot. I haven't seen it with water=4 so in my opinion there's a difference.
