i am a il2 - player from the very beginning and i have all add-ons and so on, anyway, i didnt play the game for a long time.

a week ago i found this site and the incredible opportunity with hsfx and the whole aircrafts... so i decided to install again il2 1946.
after 4.08m -> 4.09m and downloading every file of hsfx 4.0 into one folder i want to install it and the then comes that:

the install starts (directive to my 1946 folder), telling me it will take 3 minutes, then 5, 10, and a couple minutes later ...over 73minutes!
so i decided to cancel it after half an hour... that happened now the third time, so i am a little desperate, cause i had a lot of problems before with installing the patches
(forgot always to copy the 2 dll-files from the 4.08-patch into my 1946-folder with 4.09m)and after getting everything running, now that drawback with hsfx.
so, what did i miss, or did wrong - any suggestions and help would be welcome.

well u might need the SAS Mod activator thats what i used on a vanilla install to get HSFX working

If that doesnt work then shame on me lol

Let's look at what you need first.

Il2 1946 patched up to 409m. Once you have Il2 working then download HSFX 4.0 and HSFX 4.1. Install 4.0 first and secondly 4.1.

Before you run your game, make sure you launch JSGME and select HSFX from the left list box and move it to the right side enabling the HSFX mod. Launch Il2 and make sure it works. To return to stock 409m launch JSGME and select HSFX from the right listbox and move it to the left disabling HSFX.

It's that simple. No need for ANY mod activator of any kind.

i installed the SAS Mod Activator 2.1 and know i have a new color in my menu (a light grey, instead of the standard grey) and when loading a flight i have that girl posing on one wing of a f4u corsair.
additionaly, when i want to choose my aircraft in the regular mission editor there are gaps between the planes of each country.

but the problem is the same...i cant install hsfx, because the install wizzard stalls (task managers says 100% cpu-workload)..
doing in this case nothing i would sit at my computer and wait a week, but it wouldnt progress....so i cancel always the install of hsfx..


i got that JSGME too, and i put hsfx and other things to the right, wondering how can hsfx be in the list when not installed....confusion over confusion.

i hope my english is good enough to explain it correctly...

is there another chance to get, for example, a spit mk. XII or me 410 with sounds etc. running on my game without hsfx?

It looks like HSFX was partially installed before you cancelled.
Don't know why it is taking so long, though. Do you have enough disk space?
