Strafing-or lack thereof
#1

Been doing this for some time so I'd like to think I know what I'm doing but there's always something to be learned. I set up a large number of I-15bis's to strafe a static ship,; the waypoint is set for ground attack, 500m, and I have set the ship as their target. Instead of engaging, the flights hit their waypoint and proceed to the next one. What am I missing?

Might be because they only have small caliber machine guns? They probably have to have rockets or bombs for them to strafe.

Hope that helps,

Thought that might be the case but didn't think they were that smart; guess I'll have to hide a vehicle or two in there. Thanks!

I think "ground attack" waypoint by itself will just lead to dropping bombs on the location.

There should be a button "set" beside the word target (in the waypoint menu).

Click "set" and then click on the ship. A yellow line from the ground attack waypoint to the ship should appear.

Repeat for each flight.

Can't have them dropping bombs since this is a historical mission. It was as liamp51 diagnosed, so I just hid a few trucks under the ship and everything appears as it should. Many thanks!
