In light of the upcoming 4.10 patch...

In light of the upcoming patch, will the single unbranded mod pack be forthcoming or has that whole idea been scrubbed? Also in light of the upcoming patch how closely is the mod community working with TD to make sure that they can get a compatible mod pack out in a reasonable amount of time... or are they not working with TD at all.. Also if the unbranded pack will NOT be forthcoming and that idea is off the table... will AAA wind up being months behind the curve again or are you ready?

Not trying to stir up anything... just curious. Hope I am not offending anyone...

To be honest with you, I have the same question as you, but I doubt that there will be a unification pack because there are communities out there saying on their forums that theirs is better than others.

Its not just newbies that have problems understanding everything.
Alot of the posts in the forums refer to things that, to those who haven't used them, seem like another language. More so if you are unfamiliar with gaming and modding and file structures of programs.

Well, aaa supports hsfx, contributes to it, doesn't publish its own pack anymore. HSFX are holding off till 4.10 is published.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

With regards to what Moggy said I think that we have done everythin possible as well.

This question is probably better posed at another forum than here as I think the ball is in their court to make a move Big Grin

Before you had multiple mod packs, now you have a choice of two which are compatible online with each other via a flick of a switch. Both moderators of each packs site talk to each other and whilst they pursue different directions in their pack, they are still made to be compatible via JSGME options.

I think that is pretty damn good, still have plenty of choice but online compatibility existed at a higher level than before. You don't need unification, just cooperation and communication.

Actually, that is a very good point; things have certainly improved Big Grin

-The idea has not been scrubbed.
-There are still those who don't want to unify and its obivious who they are.
-Working along side TD is up to TD themselfs and Oleg.

I agree they have improved... but I just hope that in light of the way things are that AAA doesn't drop the ball once 4.10 is released like they did with 4.09. I went to another mod pack because it was 4.09 compatible... I came back here because... I didn't like other differences. Good work. Not for me considering the planeset I prefer.. but I just hope that AAA is on top of all tis when 4.10 is released. That is going to e a key factor if there is no unified pack.

Ah yes......you are talking about the Bachem Natter?? Unless you count rockets as guns you are out of luck these where the weapons planned for that crazy thing:
1. 33 unguided 55-mm Rockets R4M "Orkan"
2. 24 unguided 73 mm RZ-73-Rockets "F
