~S~ All: This has been quite a trip. Usually we mostly think of latency, ping, etc the usual problem. Turned out to be my US Robotics 8004 one year old router. Yes, we had been thru it also checking everything. As a last resort I installed a new D-Link. Problem solved. Other felt it must have been a software issue. The router had worked fine on everything else computer related. It just had some kind of issue with HL and ip addys. Really would like to know what caused this so feel free to comment.
