MODS causing FPS drop
#1

I've had some FPS problems. I tried modded and unmodded offline.

Results:

STOCK 4.09

Graphic settings: High-Medium-Excellent-high-medium-medium

1 A20
Map:Okinawa

60-70FPS average,
Max 100
min 28

8x Speed: 20-40 FPS

16+16 A20 GAttack Okinawa, AAA on

Min:0
Max:281 (AFAIK level start)
Average: 28

MODDED 4.09 WITH UP 2.0

Following mods:

Same graphic settings,

1 A20
Map:Okinawa
20-40 FPS
Max 58
Min 6
AVG:40

8x Speed: 20-50 FPS

When I crashed FPS dropper to 11 and then to 40

16+16 A20 Okinawa

9-20 FPS
Avg 103 (Do not trust this)
Max:223 (THis neither)
Min: 0

When I passed the island I got 20-30 FPS

Does anyone have a clue how do I solve this?

Did you make all the change to make sistem running offline and game loading the highest settings and after you begin to lowering the setting to rise minimum FPS at last at 30?

I got the same trouble when I understand that I must to set all for max and after lower a bit step by step to gain my optimum!

Funny-but true.
But seriously , try turning off : 00_Perfect_map_textures and see what happens.

Start by turning off all the mods.
Then activate them one at a time and test frame rate.
Keep adding them back in one by one until you find out wich one is causing the frame rate hit, but from your list, I would speculate that it's a combination of the Perfect Map Textures and H&P Effects.

Man, I feel for you. Here is all this UP 2.0 mod stuff and many guys do not have the computer to handle it. Until I get a very powerful rig, I have few mods running.

It feels exactly the way we did as a child when we walked past a store packed almost to explode with goodies and we couldn't have everything that we wanted.

In a few years, most IL-2 lovers will have a computer which can handle a nice sized set of mods from UP 2.0, but by that time, UP 2.0 will be a faded memory and Storm of War will have its own demands on the computer.

P.S. This might be the correct Forum for this topic.

JSGME copy and paste every time the files so they can be scattered in the HD!

I always run defrag each time I make major add at my full mod folder , have you defrag recently?

Make sure your Effects is set to = 1 in the conf.ini file.
If it's higher than that, you'll get a large frame rate hit when using the mods (effects mostly).

If that doesn't help, post a copy of your conf.ini as well as your graphics card settings, (under Nvidia Control Panel or ATI Catalyst).
I'm sure there's enough combined brain power here to figure out what your problem is.

Just keep plugging away and we'll keep trying to get you flying.
