Is there a B-26 in progress, here/there/anywhere?

1) Which is the variant that people want to see the most? The wingspan/dihedral/etc. are not a problem to change in the least, it's more a question about the tail turret.
2) Do you know of a source for decent 3-view drawings for that model (the ones I'm using at the moment are not that great)?
3) You skinners out there...do you have any perspective on what kind of mapping you'd prefer? Obviously a cylindrical map would be easiest for this aircraft given the shape of the fuselage, but a planar map obviates the need for strangely-shaped roundels on the skin, etc. The tradeoff is reduced detail on the top of the aircraft.

Nice work Grunch!

1) maybe the B-26 B-10 thru 55 - this block seemed to be pretty common and when you throw in the C model (same aircraft - different plant) you have a pretty standard Marauder.

2) I have some of the Osprey books on the Marauder... I'll see if any of them have 3 views.

3) Maybe the map that distorts the least!

Thanks!

Well that's good, the basic shape I have at the back so far is for the B-10+ series already I think. Any reference material at all is welcome. I'll work something out for the UV mapping, even if it means importing it into Wings3D just to do the mapping (never done mapping in 3dsmax before). Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to work on this some more later this week once a cheque clears and I can buy some batteries for my mouse! One thing I will make clear though is that there's little chance I'll be working on a cockpit for this (sorry bomber jocks). Sad Hopefully if this thing is released you guys can politely request one from Ranwers.

AI only would be great! I only ever wanted to either escort B-26s or shoot them down. If anyone is really interested in flying Medium Bombers they can always use try the Mitchell.

I'll take a look through my books this evening and see if there's anything you'll find useful.
