What is causing this and how can it be fixed?
I'm also looking for some nice shallow water textures for a caribbean look. Can someone point me to something like that?

What are you using to process your map_c? If you're using the standard map_c tools, run 'transform' before 'disect'.

This map was given to me a year ago by someone else as a starter map so I didn't make map_c.

Download the map_c tools (from the Maps Tool Section) and first run 'compose'. Then 'transform' and then 'disect'. In that order. That should sort it.

Thanks canonuk! The Transform tool worked great. Simple to use too. I've had these tools but never use them and now they came in handy. Map will look much better thanks to you!
Agracier, I never gave much thought to shallow water textures and your tip gives me some good ideas.
