A note on what you said was a 'Mystery Machine' on your description at M4T

The aircraft is a B-1a/U1 W.Nr.110306 "red 6'. It was first captured and coded FE-610 and it was re-designated T2-610 though it kept its Whizzers logo on the nose.
You have skinned two other incarnations of the aircraft in FE-610 and 'Der Schwalbe' with the Black arrow on the Nacelle.
The paint isnt Luftwaffe colours but USAAF paint when it was repainted after the war.

Thanks for the great info Pha3e. I did not know that the "Der Schwalbe" and the "Mystery Spot-painted plane" were the same Fe-610. Most
interesting. Your aircraft info and sources are excellent. In one internet website, one person has the "Der Schwalbe" picture has being an Me-262 in
an airfield in "Japan" !! LOL
... Now that, I know it could not be true.

This captured jet was photographed at Atsugi in Japan and was the first ever seen by most men of the 9th. It is a German ME 262 A.1a with the words, "der Schwalbe" painted on the side.

Some sources say it was a photo was taken in Aug 1948 at an aircraft display of captured a/c in Washington DC.
I wonder if the Fe-610 could also be the same aircraft has being painted all black has I did on the skin from a color photo?
Perhaps it is the same airplane.
