REALISM RATING of the HSFX 4.1 Bf-109K-4
#76

Looks good! Here's a speed chart for the K4 C3 1.98ata with MW-50 injection, with curves for both the 12159 (solid thin line) and 12199 propellers (solid thick line). As you can see there is no speed gain using the later propeller at sea level and then a gradual increase in speed gained (up to ~+12kph) above 2km.

Cool thanks!

PS any idea what is the signicants of the '5026/ 28' listed in the mid right hand side of that rate of climb chart?

Is that some kind of date thing or what?

I felt like thanking everyone who participated in this topic. The data, questions, and responses were expected by me in general, but I did not know how people would treat one another here.

Yes, there is room for improvement, almost on every aspect. I painstakingly followed this enter thread. Much should have been made clear here and everyone must have improved the debating skills.

My prediction is that much more testing and data will be published here at AAA about flight models. Remember, nothing can stop the lava from reaching the surface if there is enough force pushing it. We have a very powerful group of people at AAA who want to see the most important categories of IL-2 historical realism preserved. The force which is both moving and directing this is almost unstoppable.

The ethical reasons for this in the minds of people is numerous. Truth, reliability, prevention, respect, honor, duty and many other fundamental principles of sound thinking form the conscience of those who are very passionate about historical accuracy in IL-2.

Is there room for fantasy with IL-2? Sure, there is so in the right setting and context.

Thank you everyone for your contribution. Despite very strong feelings, you showed restraint and visible respect. Only such good will last at All Aircraft Arcade. There will be improvement, as well, and wonderful, interesting things are coming in the future because of it.

Do a few people think that I sometimes take IL-2 issues too seriously? Care not do I. Paying closer attention to my conscience is a high priority and that is why I recognize the trait in you as well.

Thank you all, once again!

Can I ask a question?

How can 1.8ata Bf109K4 outclimb 1.8ata Bf109G6ASM/G10 at low altitude? Beause of supercharger? Could anyone give an engine output-altitute chart?

In real world.

Oh give it a break. Some people might think this place only produces graphs of IL-2s, instead of mods.

Agreed 100%

What good is a 3D model of a P-51 if it flys like a F-15?

Oh sure some of the younger X-BOX types might not see a problem with it

In that all they care about is the eye candy

That is to say the old saying of "Beauty is only skin deep" applies to flight simulation too

You either care what is inside or you don

.

About the IL-2 facts, flight models in particular, and mods:

Monguse, you have a way of saying much with a few words.

Exactly

And to be crystal my observation on the younger X-BOX types is not meant as a ding on them. It is just a fact that
