Bristol Beaufighter - The Bad Guys 2-Pack
-
While I was painting an Historical Italian captured Beaufighter (Nr. 14887 inside this pack) it intrigued me if there were any other
captured Beaufighters during WW2. I searched high and low, but I could not find any other Beaufighters captured.
So, instead of making just one aircraft skin available I decided to make 2.
A fictional captured warbird used by the famous Luftwaffe KG 200. Kampfgeschwader 200 (KG 200) (Battle Wing 200) was a secret
Luftwaffe unit during World War II. The unit was the Luftwaffe's special operations wing that carried out long-distance reconnaissance
flights, tested new aircraft designs, and tested and flew special missions with captured allied aircraft.
The Luftwaffe paint scheme is based on other color schemes found on many Allied captured aircraft during WW2. With a yellow painted
underside and a dark green top-side.
The Italian machine is based on an artists profile artwork found at Wings-Pallette.

I hope you have a great flight

Nice, nice, nice - that's all I can say Confusedhock:
Any chance of getting the wonderfull yellow-bellied Beaufighter without the Swastika? I'm German, so I am a bit based when it comes to this symbol, Hitman...

Thanks in advance

I understand your feelings and I honour and respect them, will re-upload the skin-pack to contain versions without the
markings (swastikas) for you and the rest of the IL-2 fans.
To me its just a decal that makes the airplane a little more authentic looking to the era and times it flew. Part of the
overall paint-scheme of it. I have no political leaning towards for what it stood for back in the WW2 days. No one should either.

Thank you Patak. I already have 4 books on the Beaufighter and in one of them I found another captured
airplane by the Italians in the desert. There are also a few Turkish airplanes and Portuguese. I will make these
in the coming days for me and for you. But first I must finish some MIGs, I promised. So I will put the
Beaufighters aside for a little while.

Nice KG-200 Beaufighter there, I wonder if anyone has a B-17 in the KG-200 colour scheme, if anyone is interested in re-creating a plane from one of the most forgotten squadrons to operate the B-17 then here a pic of one:
