Request: Extracted Slovakia Objects + Update
#1

Who can provide me with the extracted Slovakia objects?
At the moment I'm busy with repainting several objects for Mediterranean/southern European maps.
I already have the extracted files from V4.08 (thanx Mr. Jolly!) and the objects from Canonuk(thanx Canonuk!).
But...what I miss are some typical baroque churches and I found a few in V4.09. As I don't know how to extract objects I would be very pleased if one of you members could link me to these extracted objects or send me a d/l link.
I would like to have these 3 objects:

And here are some examples of my repainted objects to get a first impression:

Look forward to them.

I don't remember if these were just extracted , or converted with DrJ's .tga converter -Photoshop ready as it were.
perhaps you could remind me, I uploaded these just before my old rig crashed.

I've seen some results in screenshots already and believe me, these repaints - which I hope I have understood correctly - will be issued as new objects (same 3D shape, but different colors) will really give a new look to Mediterranean maps, Spanish Civil War maps in general, but also to European quarters in many Mid East towns or cities.

It will be a whole new look and feel ... there are a few SCW maps in stages of completion (one only needs populating) and these will benefit from these new objects ...

In the screenshot above, upper and left right village block - these look almost straight out an Aragonese Pyrenees village, especially as they would have been back in the 1930's.

Looking very much forward to their release ...

The files you sent me are just extracted but don't worry, I have already installed and worked with Dr. Jones .tga converter so no problemo.

At the moment I have about 20 objects (from tiny farms to large houseblocks) but will continue till I have about -let's say- 40 objects.
As Agracier just mentioned these objects are repaints and no completely new 3D models ( I really got no clue how to do that). It will be a new set of southern European with their own entries in the static.ini.
So it won't overwrite anything in FMB.

As soon as everything is ready I will post it here at AAA.

Cheers, L.

Well, I thought it was easy to repaint some of the Slovakia churches and put them back in game but for whatever reason they don't show up in the FMB object list at all... :???:
I do exactly the same thing as with the V4.08 objects or Madtoc's TOW objects (using Dr. Jones .tga converter, editing, saving, adding new entry in the static.ini etc etc...) but no joy till sofar. Cry
Even an unedited simple Slovakia object renamed + its new entry in static.ini doesn't show up at all. But the original stock game object does show up.

Any help on this by an expert?

The good news is I have over 30 objects now. Big Grin

Just a matter of time to see Don Quijote and Sancho Panza to show up...

And this used to be the stock Reichstag building transformed into a museum.

Hi Lejo,
maybe I can help fixing the problem, I'm very busy though. Still it might be fast if you can provide detailed info about the "unedited" object added: name of the folder of the "new" object and files pertaining to that folder, the line added in static.ini too.
Or even put the "new" object files on a zip archive and make it available for testing.
It's a very good idea what you're doing Big Grin

Update:
Some results of my repaints. A few white coloured houses, baroque churches and I transformed the St. Petersburg Hermitage into a huge houseblock which makes it easy for mapbuilders to populate big cities very quickly. I have about 50 objects now and at the moment I'm working on their damage models.
I think release date is first or second week of July.

Cheers.

Neither can I - these objects will be a boon for SCW maps - can't wait to start populating maps of Catalonia, Madrid and Galicia with these ... should be a totally different type of immersion when flying over a Spanish town or village.

The flat roofed buildings will be especially suited to Spain, certainly in small villages.

And moreover it is quite wonderful how this different aspect of appearance is brought about by repainting existing objects. If I didn't know they were repaints, I would never have guessed ..
