This is the P-1000 Ratte "land kreuzer"
Or P-1000 rat "land cruiser

Here is a page with its specs
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreuzer_P._1000_Ratte

Imagine, you're flying, all of a sudden 20 mm shells fly up at you, you look though the cloud, there is a tank the size of a small cruiser, you go in so you can dive bomb, you drop your bomb, BOOM, with no damage, this Uber-Tank shoots you and your whole sqaudren down, then destroyes all your battalions, wouldent you love to be a german pilot as this happened Smile

Why did you post this in the map mods forum?

Come to think of it, why did you post it at all:
Quote:The Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte was to have been an extremely large tank for use by Nazi Germany during World War II. It was designed in 1942 by Krupp with the approval of Adolf Hitler, but the project was canceled by Albert Speer in early 1943 and no tank was ever completed.
(From the Wikipedia article you've just given the link to.)

There are more than enough historical objects to model without wasting time on ludicrous 'wonder weapons'.

I want one of these instead. 800mm Cannon.

Now thats a tank! It would be very good to be able to fire the cannon on the shorelines at enemy ships knocking them down in half a hit.

Good thing that Speer cancelled the projects. Otherwise we would have such c**p in our games.

okay, 1 i put it in the maps?????? crap... gotta watch where i click  , and 2, DUDE its awesome, and it wasnt a wonder weapon, a wonder weapon would win the war, this would not win the war even if 100 were made, with america building nukes, they would have been screwed, just 1 year after the war, over 20 nukes were ready by USA.

i just would love to see that thing rolling across berlin, practicly yelling to the allies "COME GET ME!!!"

Maybe you didn't know why Speer canceled it.
The reason is there were no Bridges that can handle this kind of vehicule (1000 tons = plouf in the river) then,
this supertank is useless !!! (except in IL2 1946 )

I wouldn't call it awesome, I'd call it ridiculous, but then so were most of the German 'wonder weapons' - fantasy machines that they didn't have the capacity to make operational in the time they had, which just diverted resources from more pressing needs.

If you want to shoot at big, well-armed, slow-moving targets, find a battleship or aircraft carrier. These are historical, and already modelled in the sim.

This Video: GOD THIS IS HILLARIOUSLY FUNNY STUFF !!!

Very good scenario. Love it.

I read the plans for this thank, it even had lavatories. The P-1500 SP gun version would need to have 100 crewmen !

Major deployment problems. Need teletransportation. Confusedhock:

Be like some Ace Combat Scenario taking that on from the Skies.

Reminds me of the "Great Wall" Arms Forth from Armored Core... For some silly reason.

That thin is one utter behemoth.
