A Frankenplane is slang for an aeroplane made by a modder who put the parts of at least two different planes together to make the new one. An example is to put the wings of one type of plane on another type. Some people have pieced many parts of planes into a single one that they call a "model" or "modded airplane".
Most IL-2 users seem to not like Frankenplanes.
I like frankens, I could never do 3D work myself tho.
Exemple of this: Franken Mig15 and later Mig15bis new aircraft. 8)
