The graphics are not maximum. I would estimate about 80-90% of max for the latest graphics cards. The PhysX technology of NVIDIA does not seem to be used in the images. Just wait until you see this in the latest 3D technology, like that of the Dream Works.

Also, yes, these are work in progress. It would be a good business decision for 1C: Maddox Games to release images which would be surpassed by the actual release of Storm of War.

Remember the image of the Spit cockpit a while back with the great 3D glass and shine on the gauge lenses? That's the quality which we will see in all the basic areas eventually.

By the way, I have made it a personal campaign to urge Oleg to include realistic flying birds in Storm of War. I've been doing this for about 1 1/2 years, so maybe I influenced at least the timeframe of its development. I wrote one time for the 1C crew to do it right with realistic bird FM, flapping wings, and perching on the most obvious landmarks. One time I gave the idea to have the birds chirp with bird songs and take-off when vehicles or planes approach. Another time I wrote, " Oleg and crew, remember that birds are everywhere. We expect to see birds in the Storm of War simulation. "

Until I see the birds done well, I will keep hounding Oleg about it.

i don't want to look selfish but its years 2010 some people must leave their Cage computers and built proper computer for that century so game designer like oleg ( and all disigners expect money from a game so they need to pleased almost every medium computer gamer ) can make outstanding " SIMULATORS " not a piou piou game for everyone!!! Thats my opinion!

Good day, JAMF

Oleg did not specifically mention PhysX by name, but all the things that he did cover such as "superior 3D damage modeling will be included" (para-phrased because I don't remember the exact sentence), would have to include the PhysX capability, wouldn't you think?. Also, the water and the changing weather conditions seem to be a clear indication of PhysX technology.

Oleg also spoke in online and in person interviews that there will be a big surprise with Storm of War that they will not publish until at least near release date. Could this be the latest 3D technology on the line of DreamWorks, like we see in the latest 3D movies in the theatre? I think that is plausible.
