Hi,
this has prolly been asked before, but i could not find a solution. i have the latest mod-installer, switching works fine, but: every new add-on ships is available as a stationary ship only. i add the appropriate lines to the chief.ini, ships.ini, technics_ru.properties, stationary.ini - no joy. do i miss one ini-file, one important step ?
any help will be very appreciated.

Double-check your entries in the chief.ini
There are two separate entries required in that file.

i made both entries in the chief.ini, so this is not the problem.
are those entries meant to be in the same order / sequence in each *.ini ? or does il2 recognize them by name ?

I'm not very experienced with adding moving objects in general, however, in some cases, the location you paste the line will determine where the ship entry appears in the FMB list of ships, relative to other ships in the list.
There is a possibility, also, of another duplicate .ini file somewhere in your MODS folder, which is conflicting with the one you have edited. You could do a search for all the .ini files just to rule that out. Windows7 and Vista sometimes place copies of certain files in other locations.
Choose one ship that you have added, direct me to where I can download it, and I will try to duplicate your problem. I have installed the HMS Matabele to my UP 2.01 game, and it works perfectly, stationary and moving.

your tip was right - tehre were two chief.ini's in my mods-folder. i corrected this, and now each and every ship works like a charm.
