[Download] "Days of the Demon" - Ki-44 Campaign!!!
#1

As we now - finally - have the Nakajima Ki-44 "Shoki" as a flyable plane in IL-2 (thanks JapanCat and all others involved!) I have made a small campaign for that aircraft. It is called "Days of the Demon":

You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php? ... ils&id=743

It is a semi-historical, 5-mission static mini-campaign, set during the late summer of 1944. You are a member of Sentai 70, a Japanese Home Defense unit that has been leading a quiet life ever since the war started. But that is about to change.

American B-29 Superfortresses, based in China, has started to attack the Japanese home islands. This is a major threat. Either this air offensive will be halted, or Japan will lose the war. But if the Americans have a super bomber, the Japanese have something to fight it with, their new super fighter: the Nakajima Ki-44 "Shoki" - or "Demon"...

This campaign has also given me an opportunity to use Redkos fabulous repaint of the stock Kyushu map. It is a great job, believe me. Even though most of the time you are high up in the air, hunting for high flying B-29 Superfortresses! Almost all missions are different types of bomber interceptions. As in real life during the late summer of 1944.

With the campaign comes 8 skins. They can be installed more or less automatically. I have only the name of one of the artists behind the skins, and that is IFE (who's done a Ki-46 KAI), but if anyone knows who did the others: please let me know.

Thanks for looking!
